Halloween Is Almost Here!

Well, well, well. Halloween is almost here! That means that it's time to start looking at costumes and decorations. You can find the ever-growing Halloween section of my shop here.
Keep in mind, I will do up to 3 costumes, now through October 15th, to ensure that your costume is completed and sent to you by the proper time. Also, I do sell quite a bit in person, so I may have something up in the morning, and it'll be down that same evening due to me selling it to someone in person. I'll also periodically add a few decorations here and there(:

I'm so lucky. And in over my head.

Around Halloween (August, September) has been the busiest time for me in my 10 short months of having my shop. I've gotten quite a few costume orders and I have to tell you, I am likely way in over my head! I'm sure I can pull it off, but I will likely cuss quite a few times during the construction of these fabulous costumes. I love Halloween and theatre, so costuming is really a labor of love. I love making "regular" clothes throughout the year, but costuming is my first love. I was originally inspired by my grandma to start sewing, and it was all because of the amazing costumes she made me as I was growing up. Anyway... That's beside the point. I love costuming because of the intricacy and the details that really aren't there in everyday clothes.

Even though it may seem like I'm complaining, I'm really not. I love what I do and really enjoy every minute of it. Up to and including when I have to curse my sewing machine for eating fabric. I realize how extremely lucky I am to be already doing so well on Etsy so quickly, whereas most users don't even make their first sale as long as a year after starting their shops. I just hope I am one of the extremely lucky few that can start marketing and mass producing. I aspire to someday be the next Alexander McQueen... except... Woman version!(:

Spring 2013

Full steam ahead in creating my Spring 2013 collection. I'm super excited for this because it's a boho style. Also, almost the entire collection will be one size fits most.
"How is this possible?" you may be asking. Well, this is achieved with very billow-y and organic cuts and lines. I'm very excited because it's very different from something I've ever done, and I think it'll appeal to all audiences. I'm hoping to have it finished in the next few weeks.

And So it Begins....

Well... I begin on this journey of creating a "blog" to go hand-in-hand with my Etsy shop.

Here, I will post pictures of projects I'm working on, make "look books" and maybe even add a countdown until my next collection. This is the best way to keep in touch with all of my humble little shop's goings on. I hope you enjoy this blog and my shop as much as I love creating them!
